About Association :- नॉर्दर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड (एनसीएल), सिंगरौली देश की ऊर्जा आवश्यकता को पूरा करने में एक प्रमुख योगदानकर्ता है। एनसीएल भारत सरकार के कोयला मंत्रालय के अधीन कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड की पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली सहायक कंपनी और 2007 से मिनी रत्न (श्रेणी-I) कंपनी है। एनसीएल मुख्य रूप से सामाजिक उत्थान, सतत विकास और पर्यावरण उन्नयन को ध्यान में रखते हुए कोयला उत्पादन के उद्देश्य से संचालित होता है। यह ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 प्रमाणित कंपनी है।
संगठन के मुख्य उत्पादों में ‘डी-शेल कोल’ और ‘कोल रिजेक्ट्स’ के अलावा ग्रेड G5 से G13 की रेंज में गैर-कोकिंग कोयला शामिल है। उत्पादित कोयले का लगभग 86% विद्युत क्षेत्र को भेजा जाता है। देश के कुल कोयला उत्पादन में एनसीएल की हिस्सेदारी लगभग 15% है यानी कुल बिजली उत्पादन में लगभग 10% का योगदान है।
